This package is perfect for those who want to get a little bit of everything– cultural sightseeing, trekking, yoga, and relaxation. The trip will begin with sightseeing in Kathmandu and yoga sessions to prepare your body and mind for the travels to come. We will leave the vibrant city and make our way to Pokhara, a quiet destination surrounded by nature. However, the focus of this package is a trek to Australian Base Camp and a visit to Dhampus village. Australian Base Camp is a short trek for those who do not want a long commitment but want to appreciate the rewarding views of mountains such as Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchhre, and Lamjung Himal. This is a rare opportunity to see some of the most beautiful peaks of the Himalayan range. You will be reminded just how big and beautiful our world truly is. The day continues with a scenic jungle trail upon arrival in Dhampus village. This village is home to genuine Nepali cuisine– bring your appetite as you will get to enjoy delicious and ethnic plates. The retreat will continue with sightseeing in Pokhara at destinations that are more than picture worthy–it is a time to appreciate and reflect upon the world we live in. We will conclude with one more cultural trip to Bhaktapur with a city square unlike any other. Throughout the retreat, time will be set aside for meditation and yoga sessions. While we are at the retreat centre, we will practice in our energizing yoga studio. However, during our travels sessions will be held in different settings. Completing yoga sessions in different settings is a fruitful opportunity to focus and listen to your body, mind, and soul regardless of the environment and possible distractions. It is important to dedicate time for reflection and relaxation as you are visiting many perspective shifting destinations. For those looking to enjoy everything that Nepal has to offer, this trip will not disappoint.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to the retreat centre

After arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, you will be transferred by private transport to retreat center. You will have free time to freshen up, relax, and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Following an evening yoga (asana) and meditation session, we will join for dinner and discuss the retreat. You may use the rest of the evening to relax and rest.

 

Day 2: Swayumbunath Temple and Boudhanath Stupa

The day will start with Jala-neti cleansing, morning breathing (pranayama) session, and yoga (asana) session.Following breakfast, we will start our journey to Kathmandu. We will begin the day at Shoyambhunath Temple, famously known as the monkey temple. This site is one of the holiest Buddhist chaityas in Nepal. Resting atop a hill with breathtaking panoramic views of Kathmandu, this temple serves as a sacred location for faith and harmony. Following a memorable morning at the temple, you can pick a restaurant of your choice for lunch (each guest is responsible for their meal). Our staff highly recommends visiting Thamel, a destination with plenty of choices for food and shopping. You will have free time to walk the vibrant and colorful streets of Thamel, but don’t forget to find some special souvenirs to take home with you. After a day of sightseeing in Kathmandu, we will return back to the retreat center for an evening yoga session. We will conclude the night with dinner and rest before a day of traveling.

 

Day 3: Traveling from Kathmandu to Pokhara

After Jala-neti cleansing, morning breathing (pranayama) session, and yoga (asana) session, we will join for breakfast. We will then begin our travel to Pokhara. We will stop along the way for lunch during our travels. Upon arrival in Pokhara, we will spend time settling into our hotel by freshening up and relaxing. After eating dinner you will be free to explore Pokhara.

 

Day 4: Trek to Australian Base Camp

We will have a nutritious breakfast and begin our travels (30 minutes) towards Australian Base Camp. After relaxation and lunch, we will begin trekking to Australian Base Camp (3-4 hours) which is followed by dinner and evening yoga (asana) and meditation sessions. We will conclude the night with free time and rest.

 

Day 5: A visit to Dhampus village and Pokhara sightseeing

Our day will begin with morning sun salutation and yoga (asana) at a breathtaking sunrise location. Afterwards, we will have breakfast and begin trekking back from Australian Base Camp. After arriving in Dhampus village, we will enjoy lunch with ethnic cuisine. We will then head back to Pokhara (30 minutes) and you will be free for the rest of the day for sightseeing and leisure. Guests are responsible for their dinner, there will be plenty of cuisines and restaurants to choose from in Pokhara, enjoy! You can return back to our accomodation when you like for relaxation and rest.

During your time  3 days and four nights at the retreat you will be provided a single or twin beaded room with sharing bathroom. Each spacious room is equipped with a comfortable bed, thick comforter (as it often gets chilly at night time), and wardrobe.  Our staffs work diligently to keep your space and the surrounding areas clean and tidy. You will be provided with unlimited filtered water and herbal tea, fresh from our very own garden. What makes our location unique is the outstanding scenery during your stay. Every spot at our centre is surrounded by views of the Himalayan valley. Our garden is a truly energizing location to enjoy, relax, and observe the simplicity of your surroundings.
