This retreat is a once in a lifetime opportunity to learn more about a new culture and return home with a new perspective. Escape the busy city streets of Kathmandu and start on a journey to a simpler environment. Immerse yourself in Raginaskot, a historical landmark of Lamjung, the origin of Shah Kings of Nepal. About hundreds years ago, Drabya Shah was the king of Raginaskot but he established another state ‘Liglig’ and it is a place where the monarchy of Nepal was established. Raginaskot is home to many beautiful views of the Himalayas, green hills, rhododendron forest, Marsyangadi River, and ethnic Gurung villages where the cultural traditions of ancient Nepal is still practiced today. A homestay in Raginaskot differs from many others–the locals maintain a naturally fresh accommodation, organic and natural foods, and a simplistic environment. You will quickly feel the infectious and genuine heartfelt love of these indigenous people as it is a characteristic of the village that continues throughout generations. This will be a time to learn more about a culture unlike your own by sharing laughter, memories, and deliciously ethnic foods. A key feature of the retreat is a trip to a local entertainment where we can observe ancient dancing and singing of Ghatu, Maruni, Chudka and Folk songs. The trip will include several sessions of yoga and meditation. This will be valuable time to reflect upon all that you are seeing and learning as you immerse yourself in an ancient Nepali culture. You will return home cherishing your memories and the family and friends who are awaiting your return
